St Petersburg Russia - Part 4

We walked passed the former royal residence called St Michaels Castle or Mikhailovsky Castle. It was built between 1797 and 1801. It also now hosts art exhibitions. The interesting story with this building is that the first owner, Emperor Paul I, only lived there for 40 days before being assinated in a palace coup!
